Volunteer Spotlight: Landry Evans
Everyone but Joe Stout looks up to Landry Evans, and with good reason! He's made a difference in our ministry over the last few years, and we're excited to shine the spotlight on him.
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I am originally from Morristown! But I now live in Johnson City as I am in school at ETSU. I love hiking, and hanging out with my friends and dog.
What made you get involved in Luke 14 Ministries?
Some guy, you may know him, Rob Walters.
What events or programs have you participated in, and what roles did you fill?
I have attended Camp Celebrate, where I have been a buddy and done several other little things, as well as having the opportunity to go to Kenya as part of the wheels for Kenya team, where I was a mechanic.
What is your favorite thing about Luke 14 Ministries?
My favorite part of Luke 14 Ministries has to be the visual picture of the Gospel that everyone gets to see and experience at every event.
What is the most memorable experience you've had with Luke 14 Ministries?
So many... seeing miracle after miracle. But, to date, the most dear to my heart is sharing my My most memorable experience has to be two years ago I believe, as I sat behind Sarah during worship at the chapel and got to experience her worship of the Lord as she typed out every word to the songs that were being sung.
How has being involved in Luke 14 Ministries affected your walk with Christ?
It has definitely strengthened my walk. Just the visual picture of the gospel is so beautiful to see, seeing God work through the lives of these people that are often seen as what some people want to classify as different is the most beautiful picture of Christ.
